My favourite character was Tom Bombadil. But he wasn't in the movie.
And my favourite race are the Ents! Those Ents totally rock! I mean, the elves are cool, and I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic between Legolas and Gimli. But those Ents really kicked...um...roots!
I'm having trouble picking my fave hobbit, though. I swing between Merry and Pippin all the time. Those fight sequences were amazing!
