2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

1 Thessalonians 5
1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

I have never believed this- EVERYONE will know the rapture has happened, and I am sure many will blame it on aliens or something....But yes, the trumpets will sound as the Bible says and as for the "thief in the night" that is saying nobody knows when He will come so to be ready at all times....

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The rapture is for the Bride of Christ, not the whole world. Only those in Him, shall hear the trump sound and go up hither. For you read in 1 Corinthians 15 about this. ....."not all shall pass away........ they will be quickly changed.... in the twinkling of an eye."

The Second Coming will come at the end of the 7 year Tribulation. Which, all who are on earth at the signing of the "Peace Treaty" will know when the Second Coming will take place. Therefore, the passage that many refer to as the Second Coming... is talking about the rapture.... not every eye shall see, nor every ear shall hear the trump sounding for the bride to come up hither.

If you study the Jewish traditions, you can see how the Jewish tradition is exactly how God has told us we would meet our Bridegroom. (Read about the Wedding Custom)

If you knew the exact time a "thief" came to steal, would you still be caught unaware, or would you stay home to prevent him coming to steal?

Jesus will come like a thief in the night, that is why we in Christ MUST be READY at all times for His calling.

the rapture theories are ridiculous, it is fundamental non sense, it is weird how most are from bible based religions especially when the predictions are weakly based on scripture, there is a danger in picking and choosing what scripture you want to make a theory. alot of the theories have jesus coming a total of three times, when there is only going to be a second coming. scripturecatholic.com has a good section on the rapture and strongly refutes it along with zionism.

There are 3 camps of belief, here:

1) Pre-Tribulationists: These guys think the Rapture will happen before His return. (Therefore a silent rapture)

2) Tribulationists: This camp believes the Rapture will occur during the Tribulation. (It, therefore, will go unnoticed, with all of the other hell breaking loose on Earth.)

3) Post-Tribulationists: These guys believe we will all be made to witness the Tribulation as a final test of our faith, before we are Raptured. (Not a silent one, by any means.)

I would hate to see any theif worth his salt make noise upon breaking into a house to steal something. He would not remain a theif for long. Perhaps you should say after the theif comes, someone might raise a ruckus which would be loud or noisy.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a "rapture" that will never come. Unless you think you look good with blue lips. It's an unbiblical idea, unheard of by any Christian for the first 1,850 years of the Faith.

You don't seem to read your bible in context either.

See, Christ said you can work on your own, and be your own person. You are strong.

The Church, however, took Christ to their advantage and made up some story about a Second Coming. Christ never ever said he would return during his life, he said he didn't NEED to, because we're all strong enough.

Christ's teachings are good, but the Bible is corrupting them.

The rapture is different from the second coming. At the rapture Jesus does not come to the earth. He calls us to meet him in the air. The second coming is when Jesus comes to the earth and that will be after the tribulation.

I think it will happen in a blink, but as for the whole noisy thing, I think thats what will happen afterward. I mean, there will be tons of chaos and such. I hope that answers your question!

the "rapture" is an end-time deception, the early church never taught such thing, jesus said those who endure with faith to the END will be saved and taken into the clouds on the LAST DAY>
