my ex-fiance is in jail for domestic no trespassing and harassment on me and my two teenage daughters. We are so stressed out and scared of him. He would come to our door and leave notes and bang on the door because all his women he cheated on me with left him and we wanted a free place to live. I've forgiven him alot but NO MORE!Also he would call us non stop until he filled my cell up with 19 calls in a few minutes. The cops arrested him leaving the property and he's been in jail since the Wednesday after Thanksgiving.I just wonder how he's being treated. I know nuthin about jail.I want him to hurt for the hell he's put us thru for the past 4 years.I hope it's hell for him.

Jail is awful at least in my county. It is not designed for long term stays (1 year +), it is for people with short sentences or people en route to court or the prisons. The consensus among inmates is that prisons have a much better living system cause they are designed for long stays.

The holding cells in jail are just like a 1000 square foot poured concrete room with bars at one end and some bathroom stalls with no doors on the stalls. You are thrown in there with 18 or so other people who have done god knows what to get there. There is nothing to do and if you dont talk to someone you sit and stare at the walls until the guards get around to moving you, which can be days. The food is truly terrible, its not just a myth.

County jails are essentially cages to keep people in until they have their day in court. Prisoners do not have many things to do... if anything at all. Pretty much, they sit around all day playing cards and watching TV. Being that he is considered a violent person (from his arrest), the guards are not going to treat him very well, and other prisoners may challenge him for beating up on a female and her kids. There is a lot of "I gotta prove something to everyone" within a county jail.

It really depends upon the jail. Most jails are more restrictive than prison, giving inmates fewer opportunities to move around or do any substantive activities. Some county Sheriffs are quite brutal, some are just ambivalent. It's probably not as bad as a maximum security prison (because you're not stuck with really dangerous guys) but it's not like a camp either.
I think it's just really really boring.

you could ought to pass to the reformatory and ask to speak to somebody who can answer your question. Judges and reformatory chaplains can and do carry out reformatory abode weddings, in spite of the undeniable fact that it relies upon on the circumstances. in case you already had your marriage license previously he substitute into arrested, they'd tend to take you slightly greater heavily. in case you probably did no longer, you're purely between the throng and you could or won't have success until he has been in courtroom. To different posters: You do bear in mind, of direction, that each and every person is harmless until shown in charge.

Our County Jail is not bad at all.
The BAD part is when they slam the gate behind you. I get the "willies" when the gate guard does this and I can leave any time I want just by hollering "A GATE."
He is NOT having fun.
Move.

If it's a big county, there's a good chance he'll become someone's girlfriend. It won't be a picnic...trust me on that one.
