Christmas is coming up and I have been buying gifts for my 2 daughters. Come to find out, my husband's stepmom backstabs me everytime I leave about buying things for my daughters. I don't get how this is wrong. Our bills are paid, we have money in our savings and checking account, and I don't buy a lot. This past weekend i mentioned going to the dollar tree to pick up a few things for their stockings and I guess that's when she got all opinionated about me spending money on them. Am I doing something wrong or is it just her?

Sounds like it's just her. To me, you seem like a good mom. If hubby's stepmom continues to backstab, it may be time to get her out of your family picture. You don't want her to get in between you and your hubby. You also need to talk to your hubby about this. Keep on doing like you're doing, it's none of her business.....you may want to tell her that too. Merry Christmas, have a great time with your kids.

Why no longer refuse a week end that's taking great thing approximately you. the mothers and fathers ought to provide your cash and placed across meals for the youngster. that's low for them to realize this particularly because they pass out to high priced eating places with the different grand mothers and fathers !

It's no one's business what you buy or don't buy. As long as you remain within what you consider reasonable, within your budget and you girls genuinely value and appreciate what you give them, then who cares what this woman thinks. My husband and I are very private about our finances for this very reason. Someone will always have something to say. Come on, you went to the dollar store not some fancy department store. Shrug it off.

As parents, we always want more for our kids than what we had. There is nothing wrong with spending money on your kids. Sounds like you have Evil MIL syndrome. LOL. It is very common. The only cure is to move away....Far far away.

Of course it's not wrong to spend money on your daughters, especially not at Christmastime! Anyway, what business is it to her?

I see nothing wrong with it, if you have the money to spend. my poarents never did, and she probably did'nt have it to spend on her kids ether. that might be why she is upset about it.
