In a way, yes. I don't believe in God because I think that people have effed upped religion too much, made it too humanized. I hate the idea of being "God fearing." If there was a god, why would you want to fear it, a divine helper should be a good thing, not something to be afraid of. Therefore, most people practice religion out of fear, not hope and that just ruins the whole idea. But I still find myself praying every once in a while, to what, I have no idea. But life would be a lot easier if there was some divine spirit that would...idk... help you, or that you can blame something on. I used to be christian, but now I'm agnostic (i don't know what to believe). Now I feel more free; when I was religious I was afraid to think certain things, and I changed myself in ways I regret now. Now i feel like I can express my thoughts more, and be myself. So I guess overall, I am pretty content without one.

Very interesting question, very insightful.
I do believe there is a God, but if I didn't I'm pretty sure I would wish that I could...

I wish there was more of a distinct progression of knowledge that would give us less doubt that one (or many) exists. Even though I believe that there is something out there (although I have no real idea what it is) It is still always nice to have that security blanket (so to speak) of knowing what on earth is really going on.

Why would they? Do you actually think they would assume they'd be better off if they couldn't accept responsibility for all their actions? Do you not realize that most atheists laugh at the way many born again Christians say that God is responsible for all the good in their lives?

I don't just believe in God, I know there is one. I see proof everyday that there is one. For those who don't believe, you all have a rude awaken in the end. People need to get their acts together and find out the truth before it's to late.

how can u not believe in God!? that's the dumbest question I have ever heard, because there obviously is a God. How else do u think u got here? How else do u think everything surrounding u even exists? We didn't just start out from slimy one celled organisms, and evolve into the human species, you know. I hope u think about this....u will be prayed for.

I would be heartbroken if there was indeed a God who I knew to allow the suffering that exists in this world.

No.

Yes, but I'll also take any life extending medicine, because that's pretty much all I need from god.
