A friend of mine Joyce*(yes it's really a friend) was sexually assaulted yesterday and called the police on the guy. Now the girl is saying to everyone in school that Joyce acted like a baby by calling the police. Any opinions from anyone?

That girl is a BEYOTCH!! No one deserves to be raped but maybe she does for betraying her friend after she's been traumatized. But it's possible the friend may be having mixed feelings..sympathizing for her friend but also feeling embarassed at school and lying as an immature way to defend herself against judgment from her peers. It doesn't make much sense but kids can be cruel. She needs to a better friend and understand what rape really is and why calling the police wasn't Joyce being a baby but acting very maturely and making the guy pay for what he did.

everyone in school should shut the fnck up and mind their own business. maybe they should be sexually assaulted and find out how they feel.
I think your friend joyce did a very brave thing and has more guts than any one from your school. its hard for a girl to do something like that especially when everyone else thinks its the wrong idea - truth is, whoever did this to her, had the wrong idea, shes jsut setting things right.

Your friend did the right thing. If the guy assaulted her he deserves anything he gets. It sounds like the other girl or girls are just pissed because she called the police on someone they liked. Tell your friend not to sweat it. She did the right thing.
