It seems like it's getting very popular for girls/women to shave down there. I was wondering, I'm fairly young and uncomfertable with the idea of doing it, so, will it look weird wearing a bikini if I don't shave down there? I did once before and it was kinda itchy. Is it a total turnoff to be able to see the outline or whatever of hair down there?
Thanks!!!

It depends on how much of a mess we're talking about. Is it the Amazon jungle pre 1900 or more like the present day version? If it's the former then get out the lawnmower and set to max.

Well, I get the brazilian and have them leave a landing strip on the top, so it's not completely bare. But I swim a lot and I just don't want to worry about the hair situation "down there," so just get everything taken off. Plus the men I date generally like it bare. It's only about $25 more for the brazilian over the standard bikini wax, so I go ahead and get it.

Waxing tends not to leave the razor bumps and red skin that shaving does. I've never tried the home waxing kits (I get it professionally done), but these might be a lower-cost alternative if you are strapped for cash.

If you don't even want to trim anything down there, get a bathing suit bottom that is like "boy shorts," then it will cover the hair. Venus.com sells some cute ones.

Speaking as a guy, we love it when a girl shaves "down there." It is cleaner and has a nice feel to it. Although, for the money you might be better off getting a bikini wax so the hair does not grow back as quickly. That way you can look good in your bathing suit, and still keep some hair "down there" if you are worried about it looking strange.

Ok, well, I only shave a bikini line and not the whole thing. That's just what I do. And I would recommend just to shave the bikini line, your body gets used to it eventually, and also you have to pick a good razor. If you don't totally feel comfortable about it, don't shave the whole thing, because THAT would be very itchy. I would suggest only the bikini line.

i've finally figured out if u were normal or not

Ur 13 right?
puberty

everything ur asking and all the poems

ur just growing up
and it seems ackward, including whole shaving fiasco

if u ask me, and this is kinda sick to say
if u think the outline if gross, shave it away
if itches keep it on
realy getting sick here....

if anything dont go all the way down, so teh hair loss wont let it itch
or u;ll look really uncomfy half the time

If your not gonna shave then definately trim up the outside areas... if your scared to shave it all then just try trimming a little more each time and see how u like it.. Once u do it a few times the itching stops.

My lady shaves on a daily basis and that eliminates the itching. Depends on the bikini if you can see the hair. Better off shaving.

I use to shave but it always itched and irritated me so instead, I got an edger that's like a really small set of hair clippers and cut it off like that instead of with a razor. The difference that I noticed is that I have never had bumps with the edger and it doesn't itch.

well if your not gonna shave it you should trim it, i personnaly dont wanna see pubes poking out of a bikini bottom its just prolly the crazziest turn off, its like seeing armpit hair on a girl.. but yea do what you feel in your heart, peace and good luck ^_^
