That is a very interesting question - and the answers I am finding do point to something big happening at that time. I think many religions allude to it, but I don't think it will be the end of earth - but it might very well be the end of the world as we know it. That can mean a lot of things.
I know that this is a very exciting time to be alive and I know that something big will happen soon - but I think that the human mind and spirit will guide it. I think there is an evolution going on in our species that is showing up as epidemic childhood issues like Autism and ADD that will ultimately turn out to be a heightened psychic and mental ability coupled with sensitivity to environmental toxins that work hand in hand to change us in a profound way as a species. 1 in 166 children in America are diagnosed with Autism. That number is increasing. Doctors are baffled. It's not an illness folks - it's a change in the way we are so that we can cope with what is to come. The Age of Pisces is over and Aquarius just begun - do you not see the super rapid changes in the way Christianity is viewed and the sudden one-on-one connections available through the flagship of Aquarius - the internet.
My personal feeling is that 2013 is an opportunity for us to propel ourselves into an amazing future (our collective fondest wish) or a devastating tragedy (our collective worst nightmare). The deciding factor will be which side has more power (good and evil one might say - it really is facsinating the way the old legends can play themselves out). We have the power as individuals to dwell upon the positive - that is all we can do to weigh in our vote. Thoughts become things - choose the good ones!

yes because if you add 2 + 3 +1 that equals 6. multiply that by 0 and that is how many people will be alive in 2013...

No. But both the Incan calendar and the hidden bible code point to the year 2012 as a time of major cataclysm for the world, so I wouldn't get a 30-year mortgage right now and expect to pay it off.

Will everyone stop trying to guess when the world will end, and just live with the fact that it COULD happen?! Seriously WHO REALLY KNOWS?! NO ONE, so just deal with it!

Probably not. I don't think we are reaching high enough levels of pollution and/or lack of money/resources. I think it would take a pretty long while for all of us to die out, even if resources and money started becoming slim.
