This girl I've been friends with for a long time happens to like me, and I like her to. I was going to ask her out on her birthday but I found out her parents only want her to date inside her religion, so we're really close and I like her a lot but I know we can't date. Still, we hang out one on one a lot and I love it. Her birthday is on January 1st and she's turning 18. It's the first day of the year and her birthday, so I want to make it one she'll never forget. My idea was to take her on a hot air balloon ride, how does that sound? Does anyone have any other ideas? Thank you!

Here's an idea: Bright and early in the morning, cook her some breakfast in bed. Then give her some presents, and the, take her on the ballon ride. You may want to go to see an either, Romance, or thriller movie. Depending on what she likes ( not an action movie with guns, fast cars, and other girls!). Take her out shopping for whatever she likes, and go to a restaraunt to buy her a meal she'll never forget, (table manners!) then go home, and do what ever you like.

I love that idea!!! Have something else for her, though, to remember the balloon ride. How about a small piece of jewelry? Say, garnet earrings (small studs) which are the January birthstone. Garnets indicate fun and friendship. They don't have to be expensive; just memorable. OH..take a pic of you both while you're in the balloon! What a wonderful gift! Godloveya.

I think that is really cute. The more special and perfect you make it the better. If you want to tell her you love her then I would suggest doing this in addition. Get 13 roses (12 real and one fake). Give them to her along with a note saying I will love you till the last rose dies. And who knows? Kids disappoint their parents all the time, that's what we do. Maybe she would do that to be with you. Just never give up on something you truly love and want.

sounds perfect. she'll love it. if she gets scared you'll be there to keep her safe. I'm sure no one has ever done anything so romantic. She'll remember this for the rest of her life.

That's incredible but it's very romantic and date-y. As long as you keep it friendly, I think you're OK.

why dont you do something with a group of her freinds...you can set it up... but if you do one on one it may be a bit intense for her...i'm not sure what kind of message you are trying to send though...
