US to Canada for weekend trip to Niagara Falls.

I'm not sure how it works to go from the US to Canada, but to go from Canada to the US you need the long-form birth certificate (with both parents full names on it) and a notarized letter of consent. Sometimes they look at it, sometimes they don't. It's a good idea to have them both just in case.

If you have joint custody, yes you do, and it would be a good idea to get a notarised copy of it , and you also need the childs birth certificate to prove you are the parent....Canada is getting real strick......and starting next year everyone will need a passport......Hope this helped you..........

I believe it depends on what type of custody arrangement you have with your ex. If it is joint custody, then probably so. Just to be sure, you should check with US and Canadian customs, someone there can give you all the right information.

Yes, you do, and for safe measure, have it notarized.
They may not ask to see it, but better to have it and not need it, than not to have it and should have.
