It is true the more peaceful you are the better health you are in and rest is a big part of that. Our world is so stressful and takes a toll on the body. Relaxing and enjoying as much of our life as possible is the best thing you can do for your health.

yes and no
you need sleep to make you healthy some people need more than 10hours sleep a night to be healthy
but sitting around resting all day is also bad for you because you are not burning off any of the food you have eaten and you will get unfit which means you are not healthy

It's called balance. Just enough rest and just enough exercise.

Sloth causes faster aging because you are telling your body on a cellular level "what do I need to live for?"

Too much work and no play causes stress and you are telling your body on the cellular level "I don't care about you."

Achieving balance to all systems of the body, which is what your body is trying to achieve, creates health and wellness.

When the body achieves balance, there is no room for disease.

yes in a way the body needs rest from being awake all day and using energy, lack of sleep does no good on the body

Yes, sleep allows our bodies to recuperate from the past days events. It's similar to being sick. When sick, the more rest we get, the quicker we recover.

I think you mean Health. But resting is good for you. Not too much though. Don't sleep all day.
