It does not really hurt, it may be uncomfortable, like when you have gas. Believe me I have had them before no reason to worry.

It depends what kind of enema your having. If it's just to help you have a BM; then you will have relief about 5-10 minutes after its administered.
If you are getting a contrast for pictures of your intestines, you may cramp for a little while, but it will subside.
The most uncomfortable thing will be the insertion; which only lasts a few seconds. Just relax (don't tense up).

I take enemas because I enjoy them. It is quite a rush and sensation being filled. The trick to not having cramps is to relax and let the water flow in. I take a few 1500ml enemas to clean out and then I can comfortable hold 3000ml for at least 15 minutes and usually a half hour before it needs to be expelled. The few cramps are minor. In fact I enjoy them!!!! It is all mind over matter!!!

It wont hurt, but the cramps might be a bit uncomfortable. Kinda like the bubble guts. If you can, massage your stomach. If you have someone there with you, they might be able to help you. No reason to fear the pain, it just wont hurt that much.

It's really not that bad.

U may get some cramping.
If u bring someone with u, they could massage ur stomach. That will help the cramps.

good luck.

Why are people afraid of getting better? Have you experienced pain before? I will assume you have since everyone does. Therefore, you know it will eventually go away. You will not die and you may feel a slight miscomfort. Some people enjoy enemas for various reasons.

Overall, it's not a dramatic experience and may surprise at how simple it really is.

Don't get all shook up, you will get cramps like you got diareah and nothing helps until they let you go to the toliet. Just don't go before you get to there. Good Luck

hey its really easy. that hardest part is holding the fluid (that is where cramping comes in) but it really is tolerable. Nothing like a shot

Cramps, yes, and you'll think you have to go potty, and you will...a lot! But, it won't really hurt. Pray hard! :-)
