is there a such thing as a dvd camcorder? i just bought a minidvd camcorder and i heard it wont work straight to a dvd player. if theres a dvd camcorder, can i just transfer that straight to a dvd player. cuz mini dvd u gota do through the pc i think. help!

Your mini DVD should work straight in your DVD player, providing it is a newer model that can handle DVD R and RW + and or -. it also needs to be able to take the smaller format DVD.
I have not heard of a full size DVD camcorder, I assume that do to the size of a full size DVD the unit would have to be to large to appeal to the consumer market.
The only reason you should have to import the file into your PC should be if you want to edit your video or re-burn it on a full size DVD.
