Yes. I am now a druid.

I was also full of huge anxiety thinking I must save everyone around me or be held responsible for them going to eternal torture. When you are fed that kind of thing, it is pretty stressful.

It is called CONVICTION. This is what God does when he is drawing someone to Him, He is opening their eyes to sin- and their hearts are being convicted...Conviction is GREAT because it means you are realizing that you need salvation in Jesus Christ...you are understanding the gospel and know the Love of the Lord! That you are a sinner and need forgiveness and repentence. It is only through believing in what Jesus did for you, that that weight will be lifted. David says:

Psalm 38:4
My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.

Jesus says:
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

P.S there is no such thing as a former christian- once saved always saved- see Ephesians 1 and 2. If someone says they are an ex christian, they were never saved to begin with, but rather had a false conversion- see the parable of the sower in Luke.

Well I guess I was a former christian but I never actually believed... more of the getting forced to go to mass thing...but it wasnt that much, thankfully my parents gave me a choice in the matter unlike so many poor brainwashed souls who had no chance to actually seek their own truth and find it themselves. I am not saying christianity is bad, just being forced into it is...

But I could sense a weight in some of the folks I knew...they just were not right in the head for some reason, they wouldnt follow their heart, their instincts, and just didnt know how to enjoy anything...just my observations...

I was constantly second guessing myself. When I went from the closed off world of Catholic school to the diversity of public school, I met the very people I was supposed to despise. Gay people, pregnant girls, non Christians, etc. I felt a tremendous guilt for not having more judgement against them. I didn't disagree with "alternative lifestyles". I want you to watch my videos about my experiences with other Christians.

I think we all need a nice big guilt trip and a huge weight on our shoulders, because that's when we have to start relying on a God that can rescue us from that. I think there is a verse about that somewhere, "come to me all you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" -- or something like that, and it's true.

As a Catholic, yes I did feel all that. But when I tossed that organization away in favor of being a simple Christian, no, I don't have any of that. In fact, I feel the opposite of all that all the time now! So cool, right?
Big difference between being a Catholic and being a Christian.

When I was not a practicing Christian I felt like I wanted to die at one stage. It did not matter what I did or say I always felt this void inside of me. Jesus who is Love has granted me the fruit of his love that being Joy and Peace.

Perfect Love cast out all fear. It is only in Christ is true freedom found. Sin is slavery.

Yes felt like I spent hours in church being told that everything I did or wanted to do was a sin.

If you were on a guilt trip, it was because you weren't a Christian at all - only religious. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1,2)
