White patches of skin can be several things, and it might be beneficial to see your doctor or a dermatologist to find out.

Two common problems:

Tinea Vesicolor: Is a fungal infection of the skin that makes little circles of hypopigmentation (white patches if you will). If commonly show up after sun exposure.

Vitiligo: Michael Jackson's skin problems. Melanocytes (pigment containing cells) are destroyed by your bodies immune system.

There are a variety of other conditions that can cause hypopigmentation as well including lupus, skin allergies, psoriasis among others.

People who go tanning regularly will usually develop patches of white skin around their body and/or face. They will come and go or really persist. What happens is fungi in your body will usually accumulate in several areas around your body/face causing this white circle or spot on your skin. And no matter how much more tanning you do it doesn't change color at all and remains white.

If this sounds like you you could do one of two things. Apply a dandruff shampoo on the area for about two weeks.... the organism that causes dry scalp is the same organism that causes the white patches. This usually will always work. But if that doesnt work than get an anti-fungal cream prescribed from a doctor.

i have something like that, and the patches get really obvious in the summer when i tan. my doctor says that it can't be treated, but will disappear by itself. if it's itchy or crusting, tho, check it out w/ a dermatologist.

Try simple dermabrasion, like the kits you get at the store first. Always moisturize afterwards and every time you wash your face..If in three months you don't see an improvement, you need to see a Dermatologist who can give you a name for them and treat them for you................
