Fry until golden brown then put in oven for about 30 minutes. I have found thouigh that sometimes putting it in the oven makes the skin soggy. I would recommend puting the chicken on some sort of rack to let the air circulate around it in the oven.

Why would you want to bake it after you fry it? Just simply choose one of what you want to do with it? You can make sure it's done by doing one or the other. When I fry chicken, I cook it until it floats to the top of the pot and the juices runs clear, then I drain the chicken on layers of paper towels. That usually takes 20-25 minutes.

Fry chicken until golden brown and then bake in the oven until juices run clear. Bake it on a rack to keep it crispy

I have done this many times
it gets the skin really crispy, then bakes to eliminate the oils

FRIED AND BAKED CHICKEN

1 cut-up fryer
4 c. flour
8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. water

Dip chicken in this flour coating. Fry until brown on both sides. Lay in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Add a 1/4 cup water before baking.

I would not try this, just fry it until it's done, usually about 10 minutes. Baking it will dry it out and make the crispy part turn soggy with even more grease.

Are you cooking legs/thighs or breasts? Last time I cooked legs and thighs I fried it first...it was difficult to cook all the way through. Then I tried baking it first just so its all cooked, then fried it. Yumm. You should try this..Mix mustard, salt, pepper to your uncooked chicken and bake it (350` 45 min). Wait till it cooled some, then dip the chicken into flour then egg and THEN fry. Its a Bolivian recipe my mother makes. So GOOD. To us that is. =) Happy cooking!

This sounds like a screwed up question, but my sister fries chicken long enought to brown the outside and make it cripsy then she bakes it. She has been doing it for years and doesn't know the exact times she does it

Golden fry then put it in the oven with foil over it.Then bake @300----low.Take the foil off about 10 mins. before you want to eat.I wouldn't bake over an hour.Turn it over adleast once while it's in the oven.(careful with the breast meat---it will dry out)...Good luck....
