If you see yourself as others see you, you wouldn't believe it.

sometimes I wonder what perception others have of me. I wonder if I was someone else would I be friends with myself? People have different perceptions of you than you have of yourself. But the one you have of yourself is the most important. There will be people who dont like you, there will be people who do. All that matters is that you love yourself and you can always succeed.

I think there are two ways of interpret that.

1. You have a specific image built of yourself and it isn't always the way you expose yourself to others. If you were to see who they see, you just might not recognize you.

2. We are our biggest critics. We try so hard to be what we believe to be "perfect" or "just right" and sometimes we lose sense of how good we really are. If we saw ourselves as others see us, we may realize that we don't really need to try that hard. We're already the best we can be.

That we do not see the faults and yuckiness in us that others do at times....like if someone recorded you all day, the way you spoke and acted...you would not believe it, but rather be shocked and disgusted with yourself.

OR it could mean the opposite, someone who never thinks they are living up to what they need to be- and yet others see love in them and compassion....

It all depends on the "others"!

Some may see you as a gritch, others may see you as a very loving and giving person.

Some may see you as stuck up, others with you hair down.

So, yes one would have to say they would not believe how others see them.

probably correct as I have had a hard time convincing certain people they need to see themselves as others see them not as they see themselves.

The great Robert Burns said what you are trying to say, (I think).

"O wad som' Pow'r th' Giftie gie us, ta see oursel's as ithers see us."
