not in all cases.it depend on what both of you agreed on b 4 the break up.most of the time when people break up temporarily,it make them to really think about each other and what they meant in their lives.sometimes you discover that if things are done the other way it may work out fine and also you think of many option as to how you can make things work positively.
people accept their mistakes when no one is there to judge them, they take responsibility of their actions and hope for a better approach if giving another chance to make things right.
no relationship is completely bliss full,it's just the little understanding and perseverance that make people last longer together.think about it,why do one a times think of his/her ex-bf or gf, and most still wish they had not left,it's just that little thing that make that person special. we all are different,no one is perfect.
you can think about it,i hope that little time apart will bring you back more closer and loving to each other.
If violent or abuses are the major or part of the break up,other measures can be use to heal the pain and thing may change for the better. cheers.

It didn't with me and my ex. We were going through a tough time and we decided on having 'a break' and after a month we got back together for only three months.

It also dosn't make the breaking up any easier after the three months although it was more mutual decision.

Hope it works out for you however it turns out if thats what you going through at the moment?

I hope so but i`m not so sure anymore to be honest. My bf broke up with me during the summer for 6 weeks and we then got back together and things were fine for a while but now it feels like we`re going back down the same road slowly but surely.I don`t trust him anymore and sometimes think he only came back for our son and that really hurts because i do still really love him and although he says he loves me to i think i`m scared to feel happy incase it all goes wrong.

Sorry for going on a bit there but i had to get it out i suppose!!

Not usually. It's called a break up because it's broken. You'll break up, get back together for a while and then get back in the same rut you were in when you broke up the first time.

no if you feel you need a temporary breakup then make it permanent, cause if you cant work it out before the breakup itll still be there when and IF you get back together.its better to talk about whatever you feel is wrong in the relationship

They ALWAYS work out but mayben not the way the couple intended. It's pretty doubtful that you'll remain together in the long run if you can't in the short run.

not in my experience...... i think if it's got that bad that one of u suggests having a break from eachother, then it's only a matter of time before the relationship breaks down totally. sorry to tell u that..... hey - maybe it will work for u. who knows ?
