I've written about my headaches ive been getting from sitting at work infront of a computer screen all day and realized its time for an eye doctor appointment because its getting very painful. A remedy someone also told was to buy computer glasses? Has anyone ever heard or used such an appliance? The glare has been giving me serious migranes and i'm looking for something, anything!? I made a doctors appointment for tomorrow, I think i will ask him about these 'glasses' that are supposed to help. I just wanted to see if i could get some information 1st before i head in there cluelessly.

thanks, its weird though..for some reason i dont think that buying something for the computer will cure me completely. The office i work at has THEEE brightest lighting and i just think the computer screen adds to the light which is affecting my sight. I have great eye sight, never needed glasses but all this brightness i'm around 40hrs a week is really affecting my head :/

Probably be a lot cheaper to just buy an anti-glare screen. They usually hang off the top of the monitor and reduce the glare that comes off the screen. you can probably request one through your work since it's not for personal use.

Your optometrist is your best source for information about your glasses. Aside from that, you may have a vision problem that could be causing your headaches.

There are a number of different "filters" that can be attached to a computer monitor to cut down on glare, as well adjustments that you can make to the monitor itself on brightness and contrast that might make the screen easier on the eyes. You might want to look into a store such as "Best Buy" or something similar for ways to reduce glare from your computer monitor.

not sure about glasses but sounds possible. look up polarization filters or screens also. I have seen anti glare filters for screens before. not sure if it will help.
