There were Christians, Jews and pagans on the Arabian peninsula before the Koran. Most of the peninsula was forced to convert or die by Mo hammed and his warriors. Many thousands chose death.

You are correct. The Arab people had the knowledge of God and Christ at least from the days of Abraham. The Arab nations are descendants of Ishmael, son of Abraham and Esau, grandson of Abraham, son of Isaac, among others. Abraham had other children after Isaac that also make up part of the Arab nations. The point is that all of them had the teachings of Abraham long before the advent of Mohammed. So their origins are the same as the Israelis and their beliefs come from the same source as the Jews and the Christians. That is why, as I understand it, the Koran acknowledges all three faiths as brothers, children of Abraham.
What I see in the world is the twisting of original beliefs away from their origins whether it be Christian, Jewish or Muslim. All have strayed from their origins. That is why a restoration was necessary. That happened in Palmyra, NY beginning in 1820. Daniel's stone has been cut out of the mountain without hands, meaning that it was not of man but of God, and is rolling forth to fill the whole earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that stone.

Before Islam, many Arabs were Pagans, Jews and Christians; even today, there are many Christian and Jewish Arabs.
Islam offered Arabs more than religion; it was related to their old tradition and so the religion of Mohammad became the same as Arabic politics.
After the death of Mohammad, Islamic Political leaders made it very difficult being a Christian or Jew in an Arabic environment. The Arabic Christians and Jews had no choice but to convert to Islam.

Before Koran, Arab were believe in God, but they believe that God is very great to be reached directly. So they used to put a mediator between themselves and God. These mediators were some statues done from stones, and they used to pray to them. Of course they heard about Jesus, Musa, Abraham and other messengers of God, but they couldn't understand what they were calling (different languages), and that's why Koran was given to Muslims in Arabic (their mother tong).

Nearly four thousand years ago, in the Sumerian town of Ur in the valley of the river Euphrates, lived a young man named Abraham. The people of Ur had once worshipped Allah but as time passed they forgot the true religion and started praying to idols, statues made of wood or clay and sometimes even of precious stones.

The Arab world had "pagan" religious systems. Zoroastarianism existed in Persia (now Iran), though Persia isn't technically part of the Arab world.
