We met on an internet dating site. She lives in my town. She is looking for friendship at first but maybe it could lead to something more serious. I talked with her awhile on yahoo messenger. I hadn't seen her online (I think she stays invisible) and so a few days later I sent a quick instant message asking her if I could email her. A couple days later she sent me an offline instant message which pretty much said she liked talking with me and wanted to talk again. It didn't seem like it was a response to my im because she said nothing about email. It seemed to be an instant message she sent on her own. So I sent her an instant message back telling her I also wanted to chat again and asking for her email. I havn't heard back and that was monday. Is she just not getting my offline messages? I finally just sent her a message over the dating site we met on. Any suggestions or comments.

Try just sending an email. Her yahoo messenger name is her email address, just add the @yahoo.com to the end!

The girl sounds very unsure. I am sure that she has recived your messages etc, but is rather preferring to not think about the answer- ignorance means that the situation will not go heavily on her mind.
Sometimes when you realise an online person is not so far away, - some people can get "scared". I dont mean in the way of meeting a strtanger, but there is a sudden off putting thing about all of a sudden realising how near that they are!
Relationships take a long time to come together, and possibly most the time, serious relationships DO NOT formulate in real life with someone met over the internet.
Therefore with so many factors it makes sense to play it cool in her mind, -back off ayet stay her distance.
You should do the same possibly- stay ofline a while too rather than imploring her for replies. She will come round in her own time if/when she is ready andlikes you- and absence makes the heart grow certiainly fonder.

Forget about her. If she happens to get in touch, take it from there, don't ponder over this.
