My friend is letting me use her account.
I am really good friends with my friends g/f and we talk a lot. We and a bunch of friends were at the pool. She was talking to her friend, when I came up behind her and put my arms around her. I kissed her on the neck and walked away. Now my friend is all mad. Why is he mad?? I am not trying to take her from him.

Would you be mad?
Do you really believe in the whole "bros b4 hoes"?? He was in his swim shorts and her in her bikini. Would you have been mad?? What would you say to your friend??
Was I over the so called "line"?? Is he right to tell me to stay the ***** away from her??
She's not mad, he is. She doesn't mind. I would love to be with her but respect the fact that they are together.
Would you be ok or mad about this??

well, jealousy is a very hard thing to deal with. in my opinion maybe he thinks that you have feelings for his girl, and she is trying to steal her away from him. if you have told him that you didnt like her in that way, and that you were just being friendly - and it didnt mean anything he should not have a problem with that. my friends and i have that kinda of relationship where i can go and kiss them on the check - or on the side of the lip and its fine. however some of my boyfriends didnt like that -- it mainly has to do with trust. as for me - dont worry about it, let him get over it.... if he still holds a grudge dont worry about it... trust is the main thing in any kind of relationship --

Wow - tough question...

It really depends on the social group's rules. Every group has its own rules on what is OK and what is not OK, and individuals within that group adhere to or respect those rules on an individual basis.

I hung out with a group where it was normal to get a happy hug and french kiss when you ran into one another on the street. In more intimate situations, good friends got BJ's when folks met up.

I've also been in social groups where social interaction of a physical nature was uncommon at best. Bf and Gf touching was acceptable, but other kinds of contact was considered impolite.

So, pretty extreme differences.

If your friend is mad, and she isn't you've got a conflicting message here. He is obviously jealous, as well as concerned that you are trying to steal her from him. And, his insecurity may be justified. A kiss on the neck along with a hug is pretty intimate and affectionate - certainly not a normal platonic act by any means.

I'd suggest apologizing to your friend, and making it clear that you didn't mean to be going for her...

At the same time, if she's not happy with him... you might be the person she's looking to in order to get out and get hooked up with you...

Well I would mad because I mean come on, someone walked up and physically flirted with his girlfriend...I would just say don't let it happen again.
And yes I believe friends come before.

Are you kidding? If my wife was in a bikini and you came up behind her, wrapped your arms around her and kissed her neck I'd deck you. No questions, no warnings... boom.

But I'd be second in line. She'd have decked you first. You were totally, totally out of line.

whatever ... it sounds you like you like her and want her to like you back... you have two choices...1. stay away from her and don't put her on your myfavs top five list on your t-mobile phone...your friend might see her on your phone and get mad. and 2. go after her with unwavering passion and let nothing stop you, not even a 500 lb behemoth of a man named big george. hope that helps

For him to get mad is being a little overly jealous and protective. Is his g/f mad at you?? Guys have to realize that girls can show affection towards each other and it just being a joke!!

The neck is considered a more intimate area, probably should have kissed her on the cheek and said "thank you" or something. Then there wouldn't have been such a misunderstanding.

Uh. What do YOU think?

It was wrong. If someone did that to your girlfriend you'd be mad too.

It was way over the line.

He is an idiot, if you like her then you should be just like everyone else out there these days. Tell her how you feel and see what she says, if she is bi or open to it just do as you want to and tell him to take a chill pill.
