Well, the problem with procrastination is that you have to do something, but you're putting it off. Then, when the deadline approaches, either it doesn't get done because you didn't have enough time, or you do it but you might not have enough time to do as good of a job as you would if you had more time. If the results of the project have an effect on something like grades or promotions at work, then your future is affected.

If it was for school, it could hurt your grade. If you did it alot; then teachers would not think you as responsible. If you are going to a party, and forget the gift at untill the last minute, you might buy a horrible gift, or even forget about it. Procrastination can hurt you in the long run, or very soon. People will think you are irresponsible in many ways. Your friends might not rely on you as much as they would have.

For instance, if you have to study for exam and you keep putting it off, you will fail that exam or make a lesser grade than what you should have made. My point is that procrastination is negative towards the future.
