Two great fighters. Who would have won head to head in a hypothetical match. I say Rutten would have beat him in a great fight.

Bas Rutten is an all around better fighter. Tito's stand up is laughable compared to Rutten's. Tito has better ground and pound, but Rutten has better submissions. That's two of three critical skills that Rutten has the edge on. Rutten wins the hypothetical match by TKO due to strikes.

Both great fighters, but i think Tito is the better wrestler and his standup would have been good enough. Plus Bas lost to Ken Shamrock, i think Tito would have had a good chance of beating Bas, but Bas is also one of my favorite fighters and one of the funniest and coolest MMA fighters out there
