i have braces and really swollen gums too. i fixed the bottom ons by brushing more, but my top gums are swollen, just coz they are not due to bad brushing. i think the orthodontist said because of my teeth moving its caused the gums to swell lots. the orthodontist also said that if they didnt go back to normal when i get my braces off i might need surgery to cut the gums back or something, the dentist also said this. so mayb that is what you need 2? i duno i tryed asking about it on here buti got no good answers

If you are in your teens while wearing your braces, the combination of increased hormones and lack of good oral hygiene can cause the gum tissue to grow - almost obscuring the teeth and brackets. This is a somewhat common occurrence amongst orthodontic patients. You should have a consultation with a periodontist - a dentist that specializes in the health of the bone and gum tissue. Most likely, if the tissue is as high as you say, you will need a gingivectomy, or a surgical procedure to remove the excess gum tissue. It is not a bad procedure and will quickly resolve your situation. Afterward, you must maintain good home care or the tissue could grow back. Not to mention you will feel and look better without all the excessive tissue.

Sounds like you may have gum disease and because of this you may need sugical removal of your braces. Does not sound good, ask your detnist what's the cause of problem. You should have been taking good care of your teeth and gums while in braces. Even if you braces you still need visits to your dentist for teeth cleaning and checkup to have avoided this problem. Now just do what your Dr. recommends.

We have a small biotech company that makes a mouthwash product that will put a stop to gingivitis and restore gum health. Our product is patented, effective, and safe.

We haven't put much effort into marketing, however, and so you don't see our product in stores.

Go to our Web site at www.releva.net. Our cream is sold online there. We haven't gotten around to putting up info on the mouthwash, but you can contact us there.
