Maybe in 50 years or so, California & Florida will be underwater... But this winter so far has been nice and mild for me! Plus global warming will open up ocean travel through the arctic. Maybe Canada will be come the new 'tropical hot spot' everybody is dying (quite literally in some cases) to visit.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.

Questions like this make me embarrassed to be Canadian.

With the opening of the Arctic to shipping, it will merely spell the end of our sovereignty there, by illustrating to the world that we can't control or police our territory.

I am fine remaining a second tier country as long as the rest of the Earth doesn't have to suffer.

I think you need to go do some research on the effects of Global Warming. It's pretty devastating.
