Usually even inexpensive salons will carry books of modern hairstyles cut out of magazines, or you could bring your own, and ask the stylist to replicate it. I like longer hair on men, but short shags are also attractive.

Long hair is so in, have your stylist twist the hair and then spank it with a razor, this will shape it up and give it lots of funky texture, and it won't look just cut
