I'm not fond of strangers contacting me, or strangers who know people from the past contacting me- I see no reason for it. It depends on your situation: do you want to be in touch with other mothers to share experiences and possibly make new friends, or do you feel your support system is just fine and don't need to invite strangers into your life? Either option depends on your life and your needs, but if you're pregnant or have a newborn, I think being cautious is wise.

If it makes you uncomfortable, just decline respectfully. I am still friends with my ex and his girlfriend is a very nice person, we get along good. My boyfriends ex and I also get better than her and him. I also get along very well with their families. I am a very open minded and carring person, by gones are by gones. I guess it all depends on how you feel about it. Maybe you should look at it from a different point of view. If she is still "part of the family", than you two were bound to run into each other eventually. She probally contacted you so you wouldn't be blindsided at a family function this holiday, or something like that. It took alot of courage for her to be completely honest with you regarding her role in this family. She maybe genuinely happy for you, as she is a mother too, and give you something for the baby. Do what only you feel comfortable with. Conrats on baby, and Happy Holidays.

Watch out!!! Keep away from trouble. Her intentions smell fishy to me. This woman has a hidden motive within her. She still cares for your man and she just want to pry into your private life. Don't give her the chance to manipulate you in the pretense of offering you her friendship. Ignore her the best way you can without being rude. Try to tell your man about this and ask for his advice.

It is weird any time a girl has a baby and is not married in the committed relationship with the father, that's what is weird. You can only expect difficulties and trouble. So sorry. the culture of this day is making it so hard to raise boys and girls in stable loving homes, where mother and father stay together and give a good role model of home life. Sad.

She knows he's finished with her, but she wants to check things out for herself. He would probably slam the door in her face, so she''s trying to get in the back door by using you.
Don't let her lame try at it, get you into something you sure don't need in your relationship. She can't sit in the front seat, so she's settling for being a third wheel. Just pure trouble. Talk this over
with your guy. Tell her Thanks but No thanks, to any of her suggestions, now or later.

That is kind of out of the ordinary....maybe she is going to try to pry out information from you or wants to bash on him. Sounds crazy if you ask me. By the way, how did she get your email address???

Very weird... are they still talking to each other (jeremy's friend)? I would ask him how she even knew you were pregnant.
