I am not Jewish, but Jews I have talked to take the position that Jesus is not the Messiah because He never fulfilled all the prophecies concerning the Messiah, especially as relates to his being a deliverer of the nation of Israel and as the one who would establish the throne of his father David and usher in an era when the nation of Israel is the dominant power in the earth. Of course they are correct, however as a Christian I believe that Jesus will return in the fashion described in the prophets (Daniel 7:13,14; Zechariah 14:1-11; cp Acts 1:10-12) and fulfill these at His second coming. The attitude of at least some Jews I have spoken to is "We'll wait and see".

The facts of his birth, as recorded in the NT, disqualify him from being the Messiah. Messiah must be a male-line descendent of David. Per Matthew, Jesus had no male line ancestors. Bit hard to get past that. Further, there is no requirement for the Messiah to be or become God (an idea totally alien to Judaism).

Aside from that, he fulfilled none of the Messianic prophesies and in fact, the exact opposite what of the most important of the prophesies predicted, happened during or shortly after Jesus' life. There is no Hebrew Scripture prophecy of a second coming.
He advocated changing Torah law, despite his claim to the contrary....something that no one, not even a prophet can do.

The only prophesy in the Hebrew Scriptures that could apply to Jesus can be found in Deuteronomy 13:1-5.

That said, when the followers of Jesus, primarily Paul and Peter, established the church, they did a great thing in bringing so many pagans to a general belief in the One True God....even if it's a slightly warped view vis-a-vis Judaism. The moral code and values taught to the world through Christianity have been, overall, a great blessing.

Simply put, Jesus (nor anyone else yet through history) did not fit the qualifications of the Messiah.

Jesus does not fit the Jewish definition of "messiah."

Easy -- he failed to meet the prophecies. For one, the coming of HaMosiach is an end to the capability for man to sin, not just the removal of the consequence of sin.

For example: My mother can go ---- herself.

I've broken the fourth commandment. If HaMosiach had come, I could not have commited this sin.

Because some so-called Jews are of the synagogue of Satan, and not even of the tribe of Judah. If you listen to them you listen to Abaddon.
