I love this girl with all my heart and soul, but she does not love me back. It's been 1.5 years. I've dated others since, am actually with someone else right now, but I can't seem to feel anything meaningful for anyone else. When does the unbearable pain stop?

I have left her alone, and I have tried taking a break to heal. The problem is, I ain't healing!!!!

You are not being fair to the person you are dating now. You sound like you need time to get over the other girl. The pain will slowly go away when you let the girl you are infatuated with get on with her life. Maybe the reason you love her so much is because you can't have her. If she does not love you, you need to leave her alone. In the meantime, you need to let the one you are dating know that you have dating issues from before. Give yourself time and space to heal.

To be quite honest with you, I think the pain is always there but just lessens a little after you forgive the other person enabling you to then move on. You will find the right person at some point and who knows if you give this girl time and your forgiveness she may just end up back in your arms at some point. Trust in forgiveness and God, he will show you the right way to go and do not be afraid to hurt a little now and then. Good luck sweetie! Claire

but don't let a happy life become bitter
love someone as much as you can and if she loves you
she will take you as you are.

When you let it. Acceptance is hard especially those pertaining to the heart. Sounds like you have not allowed yourself to have feelings for another girl nor accepted any feelings they have towards you. Great Book......If the Budd ah Dated.........it is not a freaky Budd ah book and not religious at all. Just try it. It helped me greatly in a similar situation.

im so sorry you are hurting so badly ! some people love so deeply that they just cant qiut feeling what they feel, and thats the way you are. someday, someway, someone will come along and you will feel that for her and until that time i think you just have to move on like your doing.
