The bible does not claim that God intends to destroy Satan.

As for history, prophesy and how God works...its typically in process. Its becuase things are complex and there are often things for people to learn or ways to shape society that God is involved in.

Revelation does not include a Satan destroying struggle. Nor does it directly claim to be a personification of the end times. That is just one of many interpretations or views.

Satan is a powerful spirit, the bible refers to the spirit as the ruler of the air and this world and he has many demons that follow him.

well in one battle, god sends Michael and michael's angels to battle the beats.

god seems to stay away from the fighting. hiding behind his angels. *shrug*

he has no problem slaughtering humans throughout the old testament but he wont battle the beast himself. ironic.

my bet is to make it interesting. i mean can u imagine how different people would view it if in revelations instead of talking about disaster and war it said "and god snapped his fingers, banishing satan and all away forever."

because Revelations is the writtings of a mad man that the church has been using to control humankind's free will. If the second coming is true, and Jesus was to return to earth wouldn't the church do their best to discredit him to maintain control on their followers

The answer is in the bible, but god did give us free will. we have to choose him not satan in order for him to lose the war.

Because Revelation is not about the end times. It is about what happens mystically at every Mass. Read "The Lamb's Supper".

[059:016] (Their allies deceived them) like Shaitân (Satan), when he says to man: "Disbelieve in God." But when (man) disbelieves in God, Shaitân (Satan) says: "I am free of you, I fear God, the Lord of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!"

Satan fears God, life is him trying to prove that humans are inferior to him, so he tries to lead us astray, but God has made us so he knows what we know not, and verily the truth will prevail, and the believers in the Oneness of God will be the successful.
