I'm not talking about finding things like: strip clubs and meth labs....I'm just talking about finding new single or multicelled organisms. Would that change people's views on the Earth being the only source of life in the Universe?

there will be no substitute the two capacity: If we come across existence, then we in basic terms verify what maximum scientists already think of (no longer lots approximately existence being on Mars, yet that existence is a organic element traditionally)--so no crucial substitute there. If we don't find any existence, then we've what we've precise now: we assume there is life yet we've not acknowledged in the suitable factors yet, so no replace. As for faith, faith is an acceptable hardy beast and examining various microbes on Mars can't replace anybody's perspectives there--they are definitely dazzling as assimilating new, even contradictory, awareness into their perception approach. besides the actuality that we got here across Marvin the Martian, faith would in basic terms say that, yeah God created existence in a lot of places--it does no longer section them.

It wouldn't change my views, because I already believe that there is life else where in this vast universe. not just single cell or simple multicell organisms, either.....I mean like us. They may not all look exactly like us, but I believe they are thinking beings like us. And some of them are vastly more spiritually evolved than we are. For one thing, they know they are all one, and they share....absolutely everything with absolutely everyone....no exceptions, because they understand that everything literally belongs to everyone, and absolutely everyone is worthy of having their basic needs met, just by virtue of being born. They also know that God does not favor any being over any other being for any reason. They also understand that there is more than enough for everyone, so there is no reason not to share. It is not like that here, but I for one wish it was...and it could be if people would just open their minds and their hearts a lot more. It emabrrasses me that we allow countless people to starve and go without decent shelter and other basic needs. It embarrasses me that anyone on this planet has to struggle for slave wages, in order to try to keep a roof over their heads. It embarrasses me that anyone in this country should ever have to work more than one job, just to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. The greed in this world makes me sick to the depths of my soul, especially the greed of the few so-called elite. That things like what happened to the people of New Orleans after Katrina are even allowed to happen is shameful, even criminal. We should all be ashamed of the way we neglect our less affluent brothers and sisters. We are all family in the truest sense of the word...so when are we going to start acting like it, and taking care of each other. If you think it can't be done, you are wrong. There are ways to change the way our societies are set up, All we have to do is to decide that we want to do this. If we continue fighting each other instead of loving and taking care of each other, this planet and our species on this planet are most likely doomed to extinction. Laugh if you will, but it is true...whether you choose to believe it or not. One way to start is to stop supporting companies that put the bottom line (money) ahead of people in importance, and start only supporting companies that take care of their employees and put their employees needs ahead of making a profit. Of course they will still need to make a profit, it would just be that people would be first, and profit would be second. Another way to start is to elect government officials that are not politicians, but instead sincere, and honest public servants. Whenever we need to make a decision, why don't we first ask "what would love do?" or "what would kindness do?"

If extraterrestrial intelligent beings of super intelligence came in contact with us and told us they had achieved super-scientific progress, the result of having a history with a civilization that dates back hundreds of thousands of years (not like ours which is a mere 5,000 years old), with the capability of extending their lives for thousands of years, or even having achieved immortality so that the universe is their home and inter-stellar travel is their way of life, would you still believe in the supernatural? Would you continue to believe in a life for souls without bodies, even if these super-intelligent beings could teach us that there is no logical reason why we should die if we adopted their medical and technological achievements? What would God in heaven do, if we became immortal?

Actually, scientists would not be surprised to find a single cell organism, as they doubt some of the things they sent to Mars were properly sterilized and these life forms are rather resistant. Some live in bleach for instance.

No, I for one believe there is life elsewhere in the universe. My personal religious views will not be swayed if this proves true, or untrue...nor will it change according to the theory of Macroevolution. Anything could happen and it would have no bearing on my spirituality. I could even go to any church or any religion...any spiritual gathering and get something out of it...And that, my friend, is an awesome feeling.

Yay for my personal brand of open-minded and tolerant Paganism

God created the universe and everything in it. The universe is more than the Earth. There is probably all kinds of life out there. It is naive to think otherwise.

It would not change my views. The Bible doesn't say it's EVERYTHING there is to know. God was here forever and our minds can't fathom what that's like. To have no beginning isn't even reasonable. Why would he have told us everything He's ever done?

It may raise consciencious is some people, and allow them to start questioning in a more rational manner, but others will just claim (as they do today) that scientists are all wrong and the Bible is right.

Damn, I certainly HOPE SO. How refreshing it would be if all these tightly shut minds would open a bit and let some fresh reason in.

Should only increase our faith .It would show that Our God Is wiser And bigger than we thought. God created the heavens AND THE EARTH. And he was happy with it. Who knows what is there and why it is there .but all have their purpose.
