A tattoo is something that is permanent for the rest of your life. I know half the people that get tattoos regret it later and want them off. Tattoos are serious I wouldn't get one at all. it is your choice but it will be with you forever.

A tatoo is something you will have on your body for the rest of your life. Do your trust your friends to do high quality work? I've seen so many kids get tatoos done by their friends that they wanted to get rid of later because they just didn't look good. Also, there is a chance of blood poisoning when not done by a professional that knows what they are doing and use sterile needles.

Hi Bad Dan, Remember, a tattoo is for life. If your friends are not a good artist,i would go with paying a professional. I have 4 tats myself, and i had mind professional done. They all look great, and i am proud of them. You want to have the same feeling about your own tattoos. Go with the professional, you won't be sorry.

get it done by a professional. it will look better and be much more sanitary. You don't want a tattoo getting infected. I might start out kind of nice, but it will end up being a big nasty blob if it gets infected.

Another piece of advice. Don't get it in an area that can't be covered. I have several and I love them all and show them off, but some people don't like them and still won't hire someone with visible tattoos. There is a time and a place for them.

Good luck

First off do you trust your friend to put something on you that will stay with you for the rest of your life ? Sure he may do it for alot cheaper then you can get it done in a shop but then does he really know how to tattoo a person would he use clean needles on you and will he do it in a enviroment that is clean so that you will not get a infection ? thier is alot of questions you should ask your friend and see some work he has done before you let him touch you... I have a few friends that are good artist and want to tattoo but i would not let them touch me at all becouse they are not good tattoo artist sure they may be good artist and can draw but tattooing is very diffrent and its thier for every.. My best bet is to find some people that he has tattooed before hand and see what they half to say and i would really recomend going to see a pro to give you a tattoo that you know you will like..

Only if your friend is a professional artist.

This is art work that is going on your body FOREVER! I wouldn't want to be someone practice skin.

I would ask to see an artist books, look at their work, watch them do a tattoo and then decide if that is the quality of work you want on your body for all time.

Personally...professional is that way i would go.

Depends...do you want a good tattoo or a crappy one. Always go with a pro and ask around for an artist. This is going to be on your body for the rest of your life, get recommendations from friends, associates, etc. Make sure you REALLY like what ever you are getting...you don't want to regret it a year from now.

depends, if you dont mind spending the money for a professional then go do it. and well if you really trust your friend to do a good job and they use sterile tools, you could do that. its just riskier when you let your friends do it. personally i wouldnt get a tatoo. =)

Be careful!!
If you let a friend do it make sure to check out some of their other work and be sure they have plenty of experience.
I am wary of this because a freind of mine just got a foot tattoo from a friend of hers (she hadn't seen him in a couple of years) and he exagerated how much experience he had to impress her and now it's gonna cost her around $200 to get it fixed by a professional tattoo artist.

I'd get it done by a professional because you don't want something to go wrong and you and the friend have problems.
