I weigh more than my mom, which really isn't that bad, due to the fact that I am also taller than her. But I am not comfortable with my weight and I want to lose five pounds. Any ideas?

burn at least 800 cals a day. eat right (stay under 1200 cals). eat more fruits and veggies. just say no to sugars, sodas, white flour.

and drink a lot of water. 8+ glasses a day

it's not a long term plan but if you need to drop a few in a week this should work.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

I've heard/seen that if you drink a lot of water... like a gallon or more a day that you can easily drop 5 lbs or so very quickly because you will lose all of your "water weight" which is usually about 5lbs give or take. Somehow it flushes is out..... I am not a doctor or a scientist though.

It's possible to loose 5 lbs. of water weight by restricting your intake of fluids but that's not a permanent weight loss. Are you planning on getting on a scale or something at Christmas? ha! Perhaps you should lock them all in a closet and just enjoy yourself and not worry about comparing your weight.

Don't do it quickly or with any fad diet. The only way to "safely" lose that much weight in 6 days is through plastic surgery.

It's really not healthy to do that. But, if you are really sincere about your health and weight, then you need to drink lots of water and exercise. Try going for a jog around the neighborhood. Eating healthy.

I don't recommend this, but I met a man who weighed 450lbs., and he lost 20lbs in 4 days by eating only tunafish. It isn't healthy to lose too much weight real quick. Talk to your doctor!

i dont know if this is possible for you, but just dont eat for the whole day. i did that one day when i was sick and i lost about 4 pounds or so. otherwise, i dont think you could lose 5 pounds in just one day.

eat alot of cottage cheese and grilled chicken, take some multivitamins too. I lost 5 pounds before doing that. just dont make it a habit.
