I have this test tomorrow that I need to do really well on. I want to stay up as late as possible studying but still being able to function well enough to take the test (which is only at 8:30 AM).
I don't have an exact bedtime, and dont' know how much sleep the average person needs just to be able to function that long. If you could tell me that would be great. Thank you!

nobody can truly answer this. it depends on your level of exercise and calorie intake. for example, during my soccer season i need minimum of 8 hours not to feel like crap all day, but now that it is over and i get hardly any exercise, i can function just the same on 5 or 6.

don't cram!!! you should have been studying all along!! cramming is just going to make you tired and forgetful. i don't think you should stay up late, but review in and out and find tricks to help you remember things.

ideally, you ought to get a minimum of 6 hours of sleep each and every evening, at the same time as getting 8 or maybe 9 is a lot perfect... yet that the "minimum" volume of sleep mandatory relies upon on what style of initiatives you opt to accomplish in the process the day, and how your physique works. Distinguishing the minimum volume of sleep mandatory isn't precise, as this quite relies upon on the guy. Getting in basic terms 4 hours of sleep for an prolonged volume of time might, in spite of the shown fact that, quite positioned on down your gadget, maximum acceptable to ailment, wide-unfold fatigue and different well being problems..

It's different for everyone. The "experts" say that 8 hours is good, but I've been doing good on 6 hours for years...in longer than that and my back hurts. I also know people who only need to sleep on 4 to 5 hours daily. So in your case, I would say a minimum of 6 just to be safe, to make sure that you can think clearly for your test. Best of luck to you, hope you ace your test!!!

The amount of sleep depends on the person, usually the older you are the less you need.
Relax for at least an hour before you turn in or the test will still be foremost on your mind and you will not be able to sleep.
Get at least 4-5 hours and get up in plenty time tomorrow as you do not want to be in a state of panic before the test.
Good luck.

Well i would say go to bed now. Then set an alarm a couple of hours before it would usually go off, and study then. It been proven that if you revise in the morning you will remember more. So that's what i suggest. Also, if you stay up really late tonight, then you're not gonna have any concentration tomorrow, and i don't think you'll do as well as you could.

Good luck with it! =)

Make flash cards. Use them to make a test when your done reviewing them, mix them up so they are in no specific order. Always place an example w/an idea or question on the bottom corner...this will help you to relate to the question, easier! This is the sure fire way to squeeze in as much study time as you can. You can study on the way to school...one card at a time..and it is not as overwhelming. Flash cards are the easiest method of studying.

I always stress to my daughter when she wants to cram. Leave at least a 1/2hr down time before bed. Get at least 8hrs of sleep. Eat a good breakfast. Make studying fun. Call up someone in your class and quiz each other. Good luck!

To the best of my knowledge the best sleeping patterns are done at 1 1/2 hour intervals. I am (was) a horrible morning person but now I can actually get out of bed. Do a search for "ubersleep" which has a lot of information if you want to sleep as little as possible.

Well, you're supposed to get 8 hrs of sleep. I'm able to get by with 6 hrs. However, I know people that are fine with power naps. Supposedly, you shouldn't nap unless you know you can get at least 2 solid hrs of sleep.
