To Jonathan X: Justification? Hah, none, right? If the Qu'ran is false, the Bible is false, the Torah is false. Get my drift?

To the asker: Let's see what I can dig up for ya.
Apparently Muslims mostly view Jesus as a high prophet like the Jews do, contrary to the belief that he's the son of God. To them, he was a wise man whom God spoke through, on par with Moses and Abraham.

Now I'm going to do a *little* copy/pasting to give you the general idea off a handy site I found, and you can follow up on the site if you like.

"Jesus is one in a succession of highly revered prophets in the Quran.
The Quran, which is broken into 114 Surahs (chapters) and verses, describes Jesus‚ miracles (5:110) and his special relationship as "the word" and "the spirit of God" (4:171). Muslims believe Christ was taken alive into heaven and will return at Judgement Day (4:159).

Maryam (Mary) also has a special role in Islam. The Nineteenth Surah bears her name and describes how the Angel Gabriel announced her virgin birth of Jesus (19:16)."

There are many similarities between the stories of Jesus in the Bible and in the Qu'ran--it seems like the main debate is whether or not he was the son of God. Hope that helped!

The Koran says that God doesn't have a son. It says that God took Jesus from the cross and replaced him with another man; that Jesus didn't die for man's sin. The Koran denies that Jesus is God. The Koran claims to teach about Mary and Jesus but the figures depicted by the mother and son are actually the only two pagan dieties that Muhammad allowed to stay when, in discovering the Kabaa, he found it full of idols.

nicely, you're speaking of Jesus now, a lot, a lot longer after his meant go away of absence. The Koran prices them, because the Koran branched out from Christianity and Judaism, that's the finished foundation of the religion. Jesus is basically a prophet interior the Koran, not a messiah. Yes, here are some of them:

[45] Behold! the angels said: "O Maryam! Allah giveth Thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Al-Masih 'Isa. The son of Maryam, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

[46] "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous."

[47] She said: "O my Lord! how shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: when He hath decreed a Plan, He but saith to it, `Be', and it is! (Ali Imran 3:45-47)

61] And ('Isa) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.

[62] Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed.

[63] When 'Isa came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me. (Al Zukhruf 43:61-63)

171] O People of the Book! commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Al-Masih 'Isa the son of Maryam was (no more than) A Messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Maryam, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One God: glory be to Him: (far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. (An Nisa' 4:171)
Jesus is the Spirit of God and the Word of God. He is not the son of God, in the sense that God has a wife and give birth to Jesus. The birth of Jesus was a miracle, it is the Holy Spirit which came into the womb of Mary, so that He can have the form of a human being. Otherwise we could not see Him as God. He became a Messenger, Sent by God, and a Servant while on earth.

12] And Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of his Revelations, and was one of the devout (Servants). (At Tahrim 66:12)

33] "So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!" (Maryam 19:33)
This text in the Koran predicted or prophesied about Jesus, that He was going to die and be resurrected to life again. So if Jesus did not die and was resurrected, this text is wrong, and the Koran tells a lie. Of course, the Koran is right, and so Jesus must have died and be resurrected again on the third day, as was testified by His disciples and confirmed by the historian Josephus.

I would encourage you to read the New Testament, starting with John (4th book in the NT) in the Holy Bible.

It is an accurate and the only authority on the life, ministry and death of Jesus of Nazareth.

I think that the Qu'ran says Jesus is a prophet and that he didnt die on the cross and so therefore there was no resurrection.
