Anti-depressants are considered prescription drugs, which means you have to have a prescription from a health care provider. Any other ways of obtaining these medications are considered illegial. There are over the counter supplements available for depression. A common one is St. Johns Wort, which is considered an herbal supplement. I believe it's available in any drug store and on many online stores.

St. John's Wort, an herbal extract, and the amino acid derived SAM-e are supplements that can be used against depression. Otherwise, antidepressants are not sold over the counter in the US, as they are very addictive, and can cause problems (mania, suicidal behavior, sexual dysfunction, and high blood pressure, just to name a few).

i might assume with ease through fact of value. some pills and a grin may be lots greater much less high priced than the outlay to the particular have faith than the value of counselling. i'm with you and anti-depressants ought to in basic terms be prescribed as a final motel, no longer a typical motel, as much as they are possibly ok for some. regrettably it relatively is the way of issues whilst even the NHS is biased in direction of the value selection somewhat than the well being of its sufferers.
