My sister's ex says that he has two months to live bacause of lead poisoning. He apparently got the lead poisoning from a bullet like 1 or 2 years ago. Is it even possible to die of lead poisoning from that? Don't they have treatments?

He's still up and working and looking very much healthy. He's not even in the hospital.

So do you think he's lying becasue he tends to lie a lot.

It is highly unlikely that he is dying from lead poisoning, if he attended hospital they would have removed it and treated him.
If the bullet was copper jacket the amount of lead would be negligible.
I think he is pulling a fast one.

Yes it is possible to die of lead poisoning, but not from a bullet he took a few years ago. First, the amount of lead he would absorb from the bullet would be minuscule. Second, he would be ill if he was dying from heavy metal poisoning. Third, if he has lead poisoning it is treatable with chelation therapy.

It is highly uncommon to die from lead poisoning. children are more subcepitable to lead poisoning. They do have treatments for lead poisoning. Was the bullet left in him? That's the only way I can see him having lead poisoning.

If left untreated, yes, lead poisoning can kill.

But your sister's ex is probably shooting a whole lot of bull. If he is paying alimony, it could well be that this is a ruse to get out of that arrangement. I'd suggest that your sister talk with a lawyer, in order to protect herself.

It is believed that Queen Elizabeth I died from lead poisoning due to the lead-based makeup she wore on her face. Beethoven is another likely candidate.
