My guy friend told me that he wakes up each morning with an erection. Is this true of all guys, or should he get medical attention?

Yes, most if not all men wake up aroused but it has nothing to do with sex. It more a physiological response of having to urinate.

This is not a medical condition to seak attention.

The reason for this is simple. The blood that circulates our body needs to change ever so often. During the day when we move around and use the restroom that circulates blood down there.

Now during the night when all we do is move around a little and do not urinate. The blood needs to flow back in there to circulate the blood that is in there. There for, filling the two sacks that hold the blood making the shaft grow and therefore: Erection.

So, simply put, it is just blood flowing to parts of the body.

This isn't in detail of why it happens, it also has to do with heart rate, amount of water drank before bed, so on......

There is the real answer. So if a guy urinates during the middle of the night. It might not be erect in the morning.

Not necessarily 'always' wake up with one - but men will have had one or more in the night, purely as part of their bodies' rhythmns.

It is generally common to wake with what is nicknamed a 'piss-hard', as you feel you need to urinate, while having the erection. It appears that it is the tissue changes of the erection which affect the urethral channel and the bladder, however - so the two are not part of one thing. You are 'hard' and you need to urinate, two things, not one.

Perfectly natural for your friend - don't worry.

It's quite common and caused by the typical morning need to urinate...blood is sent to the penis, thus causing an erection which although many guys wouldn't mind having their chick take care of, doesn't necessarily mean he's (emotionally) sexually aroused at the time.

All men wake up with a huge hard-on. My BF does it too. That is my chance to get some fresh cream out of him every morning.

It's true.

Actually a doctor will tell you that if you don't wake up with one then there is a problem, because it indicates a physical problem with the hardware down there.
