Jesus is our brother, one of Gods children.

He is special because he realized the truth and tried to teach others about it.

The roman church feared this enlightenment of the common people so they created a myth around Jesus that made him seem unattainable.

Jesus himself said that we would do even greater things than He did. Was he lying?

I don't think so.

Sometime early in the 4th century Christianity stopped being about enlightening the common man like Jesus intended, and started to be about controlling the common man through guilt.

This is not what Jesus taught, nor is it christian.

Christians believe that Jesus was God. People of some other faiths believe that Jesus was a great teacher and prophet. Even people who do not have a religious affiliation can appreciate the values that Jesus taught: treat others as you wish to be treated, respond to hatred with love, don't worry about material things, have the courage to do the right thing - no matter how difficult. While we may believe in these values, we all fall short of following them. Jesus was special because he lived a life that modeled these values. But remember that his teachings indicate that each of us is special also.

We are all "God's Children" in the sense that he created the first humans and we have all been born from them. Jesus is different in that God "birthed" Jesus. Everyone else is just created. He is referred to as the "only begotten son" of God. He was not made from anything God created, but was born from God himself.

Read Phillippians 2:5-11. You will see that Jesus was "born" before he became a man. He already lived with God the Father in the spirit realm, and because he was born from God, shared his nature, power and authority. It says it was not robbery for Jesus to call himself God. But he gave that up, became first a servant, and then also a human being. It was because he had BOTH the nature of God and the body of a man that Jesus was special, and able to be the Savior of the world.

People made him special. God chose him to do a mission just as he did to Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon and the other Prophets. In fact, it was Jacob whom you should consider most special because He gave him His name and it became the name of the Jewish Nation.,,,ISRAEL. However, special is not the word that you have to put in your mind as if the rest of us are not.
By being chosen, it does not give one a special treatment unless he has accomplished his mission. Everyone of us is special to God. He only call on someone whom He thinks can do the job. He may have chosen Israel for a certain responsibility God thought Israel can handle; however from the resluts of what have been happening in Israel He has to call another One to straighten things out and that was Jesus. Even that did not fully satisfy God hence the present condition of our past and present generation. All I know is that he is sending another one that hopefully will bring everything to where God wants us to be because we are all special to HIM......www.thename.ph

We were the result of the Creation process and can only become Children of God by adoption.

Jesus, as the Second Person of the Trinity, was and is "Son of God" in a way we can never truly understand.

When He became a human being, He remained "the Son". He is God's 'blood Son' - I'm an 'adoptive son'.

Have you ever walked on water?
Healed the sick?
Made the blind see?
Turned water into wine?
Made the lame to walk again?
Fed 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish?
Has anyone ever just 'touched' the hem of your garments and been healed from dire illness?
Have you ever died on a cross for my sins?

Jesus IS special because he is God's Son; sent here to be an example to men and a light to their paths. He was sent here to save me, and you from eternal damntion, and give us everlasting life. Now, do you know anyone else who can do all of this?

We ARE God's children, but Jesus was sent to lead us. We are to follow his teachings.

THAT'S WHY HE IS SPECIAL.

Jesus was God in the flesh. Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Trinity).

The mystery of the Trinity is to be explored and learned about. It not the type of "mystery" that no one can figure out.

It's like saying women are a mystery. When you peel an onion, you will get to the core. It takes time.

God finds us all very special, I wish I new why you felt differently.
You know that God came down as Jesus? I hope. He did so to teach us how to love one another that we might someday get out of this, planet school. When you hear people chant, you've got to know Jesus to get to Heaven, it is meant, we must know how to love. We have to learn to love this time around, or we may have to repeat all of this.
