The Book of Job in the old testament has some really interesting commentary on the human condition. See also Ecclesiastes.

Because if God gave us everything we asked for we would be in a mess. People don't always know what is best for themselves. It is like a child saying "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" That may sound perfectly sensible to the child but to God it is not sensible. How many of us wished we were dead at times, probably more than half of us. Then years later we are so happy to be alive. Trust God to do the right thing.

Because he is the only one who can take your life away. And your answer is in your question cause He is MERCIFUL! God wants you to have a chance and get to knw Him by reading the bible and really experiencing true life which is only found in Him!! Once you have a real Encounter w/God you'll want to live solely for Him!!! So the reason is because Hes merciful and waiting for you to cry out for His help! Hope I helped!

because perhaps he can see the bigger picture and you cant sweetheart
my husband wanted to die ... he tried and tried and didnt succeed
he wasnt one to believe in God ... now he believes that someone was stopping him from dying
he is now much better , not so depressed and is finding out that people here need him more than he realised
he has also found a love for animals and is so great with them
we do have reason to be here ... even though at times we dont realise it

His ways are greater than ours. You or someone else may want to die, but God in His patience gives us time on this earth to accecpt the Savior, Jesus Christ, so that when you do die (in His time) you can be with Him forever and ever. Without belief in teh precious, redemptive blood of the Savior, death is something that God doesnt want any person to expereince.

Because He says to us:
"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the LORD, and I will change your lot"
Jeremiah 29:11-14
Even when we think we have nothing to live, God KNOWS what we have to live for, and He allows us to live despite our own feelings so that we can do that good that He wants us to accomplish or sometimes, so that we can recieve the good that He wants to accomplish in us.
Thanks for reading and God bless!

god does not decide who lives or who dies, the bible says that when under pressure never blame god because god cannot put people under pressure with bad things but he does allow them to happen, and this includes being depressed.

The same reason the rest of us do. He understands that depression is an illness and that decisions should not be made on the basis of depressed thinking.

He doesn't keep them alive. They keep themselves alive. They can kill themselves. This is the choice God gives.
