Why does it seem that every child diagnosed with depression, adhd, and other things like this can recieve SSI very easily but children who have a condition that actually affects their day-to-day life have to get a lawyer and fight to get SSI? Just asking because my brother was turned down a third time. He's epileptic and has grand mal seizures at least once a day. I don't understand this.

he's 18 now so he's doing it on his own. He lives with my father for the time being. My brother has worked before. The last place he was at he had to quit because of the heat. for some reason when he gets really hot, he goes into convulsions. He's been diagnosed as epileptic since he was 5.
