there is no way you would forget about someone 100%...best thing is for you to stop all contact..that would help ease the pain

Thats a hard one, just think of her as a friend and like nothing ever happened, try not to think about the more intimate days and thinkonly about the days you guys hung out, eventually you will forget but it takes time and yea it might take even more than 8 months

You will never forget her completely. If you want her out of your life don't have 45 minute conversations with her. Do something to piss her off and she'll go away. Tell her that she's not as good in bed as her mother is. That will do it.

Stop talking to her for one! FORGET or GET OVER her?---there is a difference. If you want to get over her, find someone new. If you want to forget her then hit yourself in the head 5 to 6 times with a large heavy object (a hammer works just fine!). I promise you will forget aaaaaallllll about her!.....and where you are, who you are and pretty much everything esle you ever knew. But hey, you forgot her!

You probably wont ever forget about her 100% and that's ok. It's ok to remember the good memories that you had. The feeling that you want to get rid of is the sad feeling that you still want to be with her. For whatever reason, you are not, and only time will diminish that feeling. It will get better.

You should never forget, this is what you learn by.
Time will heal all memories both good and bad.

I also talk to friends from time to time as memories do come up
but IF IT WOULD HAVE worked between you and her you'd be together. Keep the memories good, and in the past

You will never completely get over her. It's like a death...you have a grieving process to go through, then the pain will ease up after a time...but you will never completely forget someone you truly loved.

You will never forget her 10000000000%. Besides, why would you want to anyway? Just cherish the good times you had together and face that it wasn't meant to be. At least you had fun while it lasted, right? You will find someone else.

Or perhaps you two will get back together.

if she was your first love its impossible... you could always just go out and have some fun date a couple hotter girls to get your mind off of her

just do something to take up your time hang out with friends more, and dont let her talk to you for 45 minutes if there is no chance of you getting back together thats just kinda mean

Well it seemed like you cared about her when you 2 were together. So of course you will still have feelings for her. So it's not unnatural for you to hear from her and catch feelings again. I would just keep doing what you been doing and eventually those feelings won't be as strong.
