Conditioning is key. Keep your hair trimmed regularly, every 10-12 weeks is usually sufficient. If you can go without washing for a day or so it helps to get your natural scalp oils all the way to the ends. It also keeps the folicle from becoming dry and brittle. But make sure you use an excellent conditioner for your type hair EVERY time you shampoo.

My experience in growing out my hair is usually getting it trimmed every 6-8 weeks.. and making sure you condition it especially the ends..Try using a deep conditining treatment once a month. And if you blow dry and use the curling iron alot, try to limit the use that helps in drying your hair and making it break off.

Washing your hair every day is good. But the best way is to cut every once in while, but just a 1/2 inch

I have an oil based shampoo that helps my hair grow by Mirta de Perales. My hair is loooong (to my waist). I pretty much keep it clean, and don't use too many chemicals like dye. Also, I've heard (my dad used it) that if you crush contraceptive pills and add it to your daily shampoo helps.

eat the proper food first of all. Secondly, do not process your hair with chemicals. Do not use dryers or curling irons on it, or anything that will cause brittleness. Keep it trimmed. Massage your scalp daily.

Go to a doctor and see if he can give you some shampoo to use. I think that would work.
