This is one of the weirdest questions I've come across, and so I must answer it. Do we have to LOVE aliens in order to build robots? Well, we seem to be doing a pretty good job building robots as it is, so why do we need aliens, or even have to love them? Yes, some aliens could be very advanced, and may even be agreeable to showing us how to build smart sentient robots if we loved them enough, but I don't see why we can't do that on our own.

You don't have to love extra-terrestrials to build a robot; you don't have to love foreign people (aliens) to build a robot, though you may be considered racist if you dislike a type of foreign people. You don't HAVE TO love aliens to build any type of robot. I'd love to be an engineer when ?I grow up, but I disbelieve all claims of "aliens" being seen in a night sky because it seems impossible for them to travel billions of miles through space at the speed of light just to terrorize some poor farmer. P.S. Traveling even at the speed of light would take about 4.5 years for them to get to earth at that speed from the closest planet from another solar system, anyway.
My simple answer: No, why?

anyone can build a robot, doesn't matter who or what we have to love, if you love them they might help you out but the whole purpose of a robot is see how much one or a group of poeple know, it doesn't have to be smart.

an alien is a person who is not a native or naturalized citizen of the land where they are found. so no point of questioning

No.

Robots represent the imposition of your own understanding and values upon a cybernetic mechanical device. That is all.
