How do I know if my knees hurt from not jogging in awhile or if I could possibly have bad knees? They hurt on the outside, but mostly on the inner part of my knees! It doesn't feel like a muscle thing. I've been jogging off and on for about a week and a half and the first week was fine, but the second week has been pure pain, so I stopped! Is this pain from possible bad knees or just from inactivity? If its inactivity, why not hurt during the first week and why does it hurt soooo bad!?!? Hard to walk, go up stairs, etc. etc. I feel the pain throbbing sometimes!! They've been hurting for almost a week since I last jogged. Is it bad kness or just pain from inactivity?

I had the same problem when I was running to get ready for basic training. You really need to go see a doctor so they can check out your knee. Mine turned out to be a very bad knee and resulted in me not being able to pursue a military career, hopefully yours is something different but you really need to see a doctor to find out for sure.

I surely have the dazzling comparable concern and it cleared up after 2 an prolonged time while i began stretching. 2 ordinary reasons for this variety of knee soreness are over-tightness in muscle mass and tendons, inflicting the knee cap to track improperly, or having an imbalance interior the capability of the quadriceps and hamstrings. Stretching and exercising can clean this up - even though it takes a relentless stretching, exercising, or the two.

I have the exact same problem and it cleared up after 20 years when I started stretching. Two common causes for this type of knee pain are over-tightness in muscles and tendons, causing the knee cap to track improperly, or having an imbalance in the strength of the quadriceps and hamstrings. Stretching and exercise can clear this up - but it takes a consistent stretching, exercise, or both.

Are you stretching really good before you run????? This is super important. That could be the reason your knees are hurting. Try taking a good warm bath in epson salt........that should help and next time (i would wait a little while). be sure to warm up and stretch really good.................if it doesn't clear up in a few days you may need to go see an ortho dr. or good knee dr.
