I love them! Here's a recipe:

A White Russian is a rich, sweetish drink ... almost like dessert. Serves one.
Things You'll Need
3 or 4 ice cubes
1 oz. vodka
liquor
highball glasses
1 oz. coffee liqueurs
1 oz. heavy creams
stirrers
Instructions
STEP 1: Fill glass with ice. STEP 2: Pour in vodka, coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa) and heavy cream. STEP 3: Stir and serve. Tips & Warnings
Use two parts vodka, one part coffee liqueur, and one part cream for a stronger drink.
A Black Russian is just vodka and coffee liqueur, with no cream.

It's definitely a "mix to your taste" drink because folks that like sweet will typically want more of the coffee liquor (e.g., kahlua) than vodka...I prefer half n' half over milk as it's richer...heavy cream is too high in calories although would probably taste fabulous.

I used to drink them all the time and said that's how I got my calcium. LOL!

Another option, that cuts some of the calories, is to make them using sugar free kahlua flavored syrup (DaVinci makes one and it's available in some coffee shops or supermarket coffee aisles). Still tastes great but is a little less unhealthy.

White Russian = Vodka, Kahlua. Vodka = extremely tasteless. so which you do no longer could desire to do something to duplicate that is flavor Kahlua = tastes like candy coffee. the closest you will get to the flavour of a white Russian could be to drink candy coffee. i'm helpful you will have the skill to make candy creamy coffee without wanting lessons.

When I was a bartender I referred to these as Vokda Milkshakes. I don't like them, but a lot of folks do:
INGREDIENTS
1 fluid ounce coffee flavored liqueur
1 fluid ounce vodka
1/2 cup cream or milk
DIRECTIONS
In a mixing glass, combine the coffee flavored liqueur, vodka and cream or milk. Pour over ice in a highball glass.

I like a BLACK Russian:
INGREDIENTS
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger coffee flavored liqueur
2 (3.0 fluid ounce) jiggers vodka
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle Irish stout beer
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola - I use Coke
DIRECTIONS
Half-fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Measure in the coffee liqueur and vodka. Pour cola to within 1/2 inch of the top. finish with enough Irish stout to form a 'head' on the top. Stir and serve.

Kahlua or any coffee liquer. vodka and half and half, cream or milk, whichever you prefer. Yes they are yummy, but loaded with calories. Each one is like a dessert. Thats why bartenders know mostly fat chicks drink these.
