It's not night terrors unless you don't remember what happened. If you remember it then it's not night terrors.

It's REM sleep behavior disorder
it's a sleep disorder in which the sleeper acts out his or her dreams.
Occurs during sleep stage REM and you can easily wake yourself by moving around.

Night terrors - A sleep disturbance characterized by an episode of increased physiological arousal, intense fear, panic, frightening hallucinations, and no recall of the events the next morning.
In other words, someone else would have to tell you that you were kicking and screaming because this happens in stages NREM 3 and NREM 4 and those are the stages were you are least likely to wake up on your own.

Well, I didnt break anything, but I have woken up screaming after a bad dream once. I dreamed my roomatekilled himself by driving his car (with a bunch of my things in it) into the river. I woke up screaming "no! no!" and woke everyone up!

I have nightmares all the time, like at least once a week, usually twice a week.

My advice is keep tucked in tight in bed so you cant thrash around so violently to break something again

Good luck!

My 2 a million/2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old son does the same each and every particularly circumstances. He can opt for for per week waking up screaming and be effective for a month or so. Nightmares are achievable. i do now no longer keep in mind that the evening terrors may be stopped, yet they could properly be helped. evening lights furniture and cuddle contraptions are effective. many times the sound of a calming voice helps calm them. the distinct element is she ought to favor to be teething or having soreness interior the midst of the evening. at the same time as my son grew to develop into into breaking by skill of his bottom set of two-3 hundred and sixty 5 days molars, he'd awaken screaming plenty more beneficial. He hasn't damaged the proper set by skill of yet and that i'm no longer particular at the same time as they're going to ever come-even if it ought to favor to be achievable that she's hurting by technique of a few potential. Ask her if she has any boo boos or ouchies and she or he ought to element some element out. Get to rejoice inclusive of her screams. there's a large vast difference between the soreness scream and the scared scream. it ought to enable you to be prepared once you bypass into her room in case you recognize them.

I have had night terrors before, not pleasant. The more stressed you are or if you've gone through a traumatic experience recently, the more you'll experience them.
