Serving sizes for sauces are often in portion sizes of tablespoons. But I use a cup of sauce on certain items. Because I need to monitor my caloric intake for my weight loss plan, I'd like to be able to figure out how many tablespoons are in an 8 ounce cup.

I shall chime in since there is a difference of opinion. 2 tablespoons in a oz. (1 tablespoon = 15 ml, 1 oz = 30 ml), therefore there are 16 tablespoons in a cup.

4 Tbs=1/4 cup
therefore, 1 cup=16 Tbs.

there are 8 tablespoons in a cup, but it has to be the type that are to measure ingredients for cooking and stuff because silverware tablespoons vary in size.
