I would like to hear from people who have had their gall bladders removed about their recovery and diet since surgery. It doesn't make sense that I could go back to a completely regular diet and eat whatever I want. I'm looking for specific foods I can eat or most importantly what to stay away from.

There are no specific dietary restrictions because you have had you gall bladder out. I always caution my patient that not all symptoms they got from was necessarily due to their gall bladder problems, so they should be careful when adding food. For example, many foods that cause gall bladder symptoms can also trigger GERD (reflux) symptoms. Bloating and cramps can be caused by lactose intolerance.

Additionally, the food that you avoid because of gall bladder problems, fried foods, fatty foods and junk food, are foods that ought to be avoided or eaten in small amounts anyway.
